Cut the Rope is a simple yet very popular game, especially among the users of portable devices. Though pretty simple, it manages to be addictive, thanks to the complexity of the puzzles, the large variety of levels and the many hidden prizes that it includes.
Cut the Rope can be defined as a physics-based puzzle game. Your objective is to feed candies to a cute little monster named Om Nom. The challenge is that you have to cut the ropes that hold these candies and make the candies fall right into the mouth of the lazy Om Nom. These ropes have to be cut at the exact time and in the exact order, otherwise the candies will fall at random locations and not necessarily into the mouth of Om Nom. As simple as it might sound, it can actually get pretty challenging, especially at higher levels. Since the puzzles can get quite complex, it will require a lot of thinking.
Furthermore, there are stars that can be collected for bonus points. Anyway, the puzzles are truly great, often being compared with those of the famous Angry Birds game in terms of both complexity and fun. I was very surprised how addictive this game can be despite its simplicity. Though at first I wanted to play only a few levels, I could hardly stop playing it. The only thing I dislike about it is that it lacks a “window mode”. It can only be played in “full screen mode”. Anyway, it’s a minor aspect that can be easily overlooked.
In conclusion, Cut the Rope is a great game that will keep you entertained for entire hours.
